Tamaru, Aomame's bodyguard, sneeks into Ushikawa's room and interrogates him on what he knows about Tengo and Aomame. Tamaru finds out that Ushikawa knows a lot and it is a threat to the saftey of Aomame, the Dowager, as well as himself. He kills Ushikawa. Aomame and Tengo finally meet face to face and realize that they were once childhood classmates at school. Aomame and Tengo fall in love despite the fact that they have not seen nor thought about each other for a long time. Twenty years later, they meet again and are still being followed by Ushikawa and Sakigake. They escape the world of "1Q84" and into a place where they assume is their world from which they originally came from, but as Aomame saw in the beginning, there are small things that seem out of place. THE ENDDDDDDDDDDDDD woo, finally done!! That took a while, this book is huge. Laugh out loud. Next class, we'll start deciding on how to present and put everything together.
1) Do all dystopian novels leave you with a cliffhanger?
2) Can dystopian novels conclude with an anti-climax?
3) What's your preference of a "good ending" Ms. I?
